UNIVERSE 2.0 SILVERBOLT

This figure is from 2008. He is an Autobot. Silverbolt is the leader of the aerialbots. Him and the other bots Airaid, Skydive, Fireflight and Slingshot are ancient Cybertronian Shuttles that were rebuilt by the Autobots to resemble modern jets. Vector Sigma gave the aerialbots individual sparks and minds. They were created to fight the Stunticons.
Siverbolt is afraid of heights which is not easy when you are a jet. On Cybertron he was a low altitude cargo ship up to when he was rebuilt. He is a supersonic jet now.
Optimus appointed him leader of the aerialbots so it would keep his mind off the fact that he was scared of heights.
The other aerialbots are really arrogant especially Slingshot who thinks he is superior to the rest.
Silverbot is not like that. The aerialbots except for Silverbolt refused to fight the Stunticons but he  convinced them. Silverbot destroyed Vector sigmas key because Megatron was using it as a weapon and he did not want Earth to become another Cybertron. They defeated the Stunticons along Omega Supreme. He was the key to winning the battle as he took Menasaur down
Therew was another key episode in series two when the Aerialbots in "War Dawn" They thought the Decepticons were not too bad but silverbolt tried to convince the others that this was not so. Megatron tricked the Aerialbots and sent them back in time when they walked into a time machine. They were sent back nine million years back to the beginning if the Cybertronian war. They met these Energon warehouse workers run by Ryan Pax , Ariel and Dion. Megatron turned up with the Decepticon drones and badly damaged the workers. Megatron nearly got the Energon but the guardian robots turned up. Megatron ran off. The aerialbots found Alpha Trion and Orion and Aerial were re formatted Orion became Optimus Prime and Ariel became Olita one. Dion is a mystery as some say he was killed but others say he was reformatted.
Megatron turned up again with reinforcements but Optimus was there and beat Megatron. The aerialbots set a bomb and blew up the warehouse containing the energon.
They managed to get back to their own time. This changed their minds about Megatron and they stayed loyal to the Autobots.
There were other story lines in series two when they were fighting the Combaticons. In series three "five faces of Darkness" when they recued the Autobots form the Quintessons and removed them from Quinrtessa before the Quintessons blew the planet up.
In series four the Aerialbots fought Sixshot who basically obliterated them. They were all damaged and shut down to status lock. They did get reactivated for "Cybertrons New Golden Age"
They were also in the Japanese cartoon but I have not watched much of this. They fought in these.

BIO
As the leader of an elite group of Autobot warriors known as the Aerialbots, Silverbolt shoulders a great deal of responsibility. He is a careful planner who never risks the lives of his men, unless it is absolutely necessary. All his care, however, hides a deeply insecure nature. Optimus Prime actually put Silverbolt in such a stressful position largely to district him from a paralysing fear of heights; a weakness he hopes the other Aerialbots never discover. He is a capable leader nonetheless, and has honed his Aerialbots into one of the finest Autobot units in the universe.

SATS; Strength 8, Speed 9, Rank 8, Firepower 8, Intelligence 8, Endurance 8, Courage 8, Skill 5

FUNCTION; Aerialbot Leader

MOTTO; Don't look down, look straight ahead.

                                                                Jet mode front

Robot mode

His jet mode is some kind of supersonic jet with some omages to the Concorde that was his original mode in G1.

He has electronics that make machine gun noises and they flash the small guns on the side of the cockpit. He also has a sawing noise and his afterburners light up. There is also a boosting noise like the afterburners.
On the side it says BOLT 25 as this is part of the 25th Anniversary line, He has elite guard insignias on his wings. He also has a 25 on these as well
He has some nice details and panel lines.
His undercarriage is quite big but not too bad.
His gun attaches to the front of the jet and is spring launched.
The colour scheme is pretty basic but realistic for a jet

During transformation he makes the transformation noise and his eyes light up and flash.

His robot mode is very cartoon accurate but he does have a big backpack.
I don't think it is that bad. it looks like he has a giant jet pack and it does not make him back heavy
He has a mildly nervous expression on his face which is great when he is afraid of heights.
On his chest there is a purple colour which is strange for an Autobot.
He has lots of load ratchet noises during transformation
His heels spurs flip in easily . I wish they locked in place.
He also makes a machine gun noise in this mode.
His gun is spring launched and he can hold it
Half the figure is the pack back and the robot is the undercarriage kibble
The back of his legs are hollow which is fine.

He has good articulation. He can stand in several poses.

You could make a good custom base for Superion kit bash because he has long legs to attach parts to.

He is a good figure and the transformation is deluxe/scout transformation difficulty. Not complex.

I would not pay through the roof for him. Around £20.00 would be fair. I paid this.

He was repainted as Darkwing which was a Toys R Us exclusive

I would recommend him to add to your collection as he looks great on display

REVENGE OF THE FALLEN VOYGER MEGATRON

This figure is from 2009. He is a Decepticon leader. He was killed at the end of the first movie and they dumped his body into the Laurentian abyss in the ocean. The Decepticons stole the All Spark shard and the Contructicons and Ravage went into the abyss to resurrect mMegatron. They killed One of the Decepticons to rebuild Megatron and inserted the All Spark shard to reboot him.

Megatron went to the Fallen on one of Saturn's moons and the Fallen ordered him to kidnap Sam Whitwicky so they could extract the information in his brain. The Autobots came to the rescue though and Sam was saved. Megatron in a battle killed Optimus Prime. At the end of the film Megatron fought Prime as he was resurrected as Powered up Optimus and he defeated Megatron.

In the pr equal Dark of the Moon game he was a tank and then later on he got his truck mode as in Dark of the moon movie.

BIO; Trapped in the black, crushing depths of the sea, his mind inert in the grip of stasis lock, Megatron knew nothing of the desperate search mounted for his remains by the other Decepticons. When he was finally brought back online, their effort and sacrifice meant little to him. The only thing that had any meaning was revenge. He would have his vengeance against the human boy who cheated him of his prize, and he swore to celebrate over the smoking wreck of Optimus Prime.

ALTERNATE MODE; Space Flight Tank

FUNCTION; Decepticon Leader

MOTTO; "Peace through tyranny"

STATS; unknown

Tank mode front

Tank mode side

Robot mode with sword

Robot mode with fusion cannon

Megatron is a tank but in the first movie he was a jet. This is not actually his official tank mode but a space flight tank mode which you saw a couple of time in  the movie. This replaces the jet mode. Some think it looks like a turtle and that it is a combination of The Fallen and Megatron. The face does look a bit like Soundwave.
His robot head is visible in this mode but it is in a more sensible place beneath the gun rather than sticking out like a sore thumb on top of the jet
He has this cage thing round his head in tank mode which hides it a bit.
His colour is a dark greenish blue and is not his true colour but it represents the gunk and stuff from the bottom if the ocean.

Leg armour from his robot form on the tank form giant after burners.
The wings are quite versatile.
He has tracks so they act as landing gear so he can then move off.
His feet are exposed but they do not look out of place as he is alien looking.
He has good articulation in his tank gun  which looks good and this can fire.

In robot mode he is impressive apart from the fact that he has a giant back pack but this can be used to make it look like he has wings. I tend to fold them in to make it more accurate to the movie.

He has some Mechalive as when you use his waist swivel some gears in his chest move.
Another thing is when his arm is is bent downwards a sword pops out.

The cannon is accurate to the movie which is nice.
one arm is the cannon  and the other has claws.

He has great light piping and head sculpt.

He does have touches of silver which is his real colour. The Japanese version is completely silver.

His insignia is on his leg armour.

The cage armour hangs off his shoulders and you have to pretend it is not there.

He has great articulation.

The armour on his legs is spring loaded but not sure why but it could be auto morph when you pull the legs to the side so his leg armour forms the giant afterburners in tank mode

I highly recommend him.

H e can be hard to find nowadays and are charging quite a bit but worth looking out for.

Overall he is a good figure.

REVENGE OF THE FALLEN VOYAGER MIXMASTER

This figure is from 2009. He appeared in the movie as the constructicon leader. There were two Mixmasters in the movie. This one did not form Devastator but the other one which was just a mix truck formed Devastators head.
He was one of the Decepticons that went to the bottom of the ocean to reserrect Megatron.
He was killed by Jetfire in Eygpt who chopped him in half and then smashed his head off with his walking stick but this was not the end for Mixmaster as he appeared in Dark of the Moon Video games. I don't know why as he was supposed to be dead! This might be an error on the makers part.
He was also killed in the game by Ironhide. Hopefuuly for good this time but in the fourth movie he might just come back.

BIO; Resident chemist and explosives expert for the elite among the Decepticons, Mixmaster has spent his entire life learning all there is to know about chemical interaction. He can make thousands of poisons, explosives, and deadly gasses from the materials around him. The other Decepticons rely on him to fashion powerful warheads for their missiles, and dangerous venoms in which to coat their blades.

SATS; Strength 6, Intelligence 9, Speed 3, Engurance 7, Rank 8, Courage 3, Fireblast 6, Skill 9

ALTURNATE MODE; Mixing truck

FUNCTION; Chemist and constructicon leader

MOTTO; Unknown

Ground Artillery mode front

Ground Artillery mode side

His vehicle mode is actually nice and is one of the best in the line. Even the undercarage kibble is not that bad. In the movie he was in different colours and he did not have giant Decepticon insignias on his mixing drum. This takes away from his "Robots in Disguise. He is also missing the hood ornament of the dog with the head shaped like the insignia. In its place is just a ordinary one. I suppose I am nit picking. He is nice though

It is nice that he has the cement shoot on the truck and other such details on his truck mode to make him realistic

Now we get to transformation. I find it so frustrating . It takes about two hours to get him back to vehicle mode as there are not instructions.
When he is in robot mode he has such long arms he is like an orangutan
He is unstable in robot mode
He is full of loose parts and his mixing drum comes off easily
His face is like many others and needs more imagination.
His dark purple light piping does not work so he looks dead.
He has big long curved claws. Why?
The giant hollow cab hangs off his back making him back heavy to add to the problems with standing him.
The cannon keeps firing when you are trying to transform the figure which can get annoying.
The legs are odd and you can see the screws. Have tried it the other way but they look scrunched up.
He has a bulky body but with the added bulk he looks terrible.
The wheel sections just hang off his arms and jiggle around.

The ground artillery mode. In the movie he transformed and did a handstand but he is a nightmare to transform as a figure. No one seems to be able to follow the instructions. God!!! It is hard to get this to look good. It is stupid and you cannot get it to look like he did in the movie. You can get him to look like a tank but only sort of.

Good for parts for other figure customs but I really do not like this figure, except in truck mode for display. It is way over complicated. He is totally inaccurate for the movie collection.
I really do not reccomend him.
They even did a repaint of him in garish green and purple as though he did not look stupid enough. It looked horrible++

Do not get this for younger kids but if you want to get it beware if hours of frustration.

I feel totally ripped off.

BEAST WARS DINOBOT

This figure is from 1996.
Dinobot was a Predicon who was on Megatrons team that stole the golden disk on Cybertron. This is when they crashed on Prehistoric earth . They were actually trying to go to modern day earth but went through a worm hole and ended up millions of years in the past.
Dinobot thought they had been lead to the wrong planet. He wanted to overthrow Megatron and become the leader of the Predicons. He challenged him to a battle. Megatron refused and got Scorpinok to blast him. With the power of the blast he flew quite a distance.
As the Maximals were coming back to the Exilon after their first battle with the Predicons, Dinobot was waiting for them. He challenged Optimus Primal to one on one combat to take them over as he just wanted to be leader and was willing to change sides. Optimus won narrowly and Dinobot was confused as Optimus refused to kill him. The Predicons turned up and they fought  and Optimus and Dionobot were left dangling from a bridge. Dinobot was suffering Energon overload as he had stayed as a robot too long. He could not transform so he was in danger. Optimus wanted to save him which he did. He stayed with the Maximals but not as a leader. At first he was not trusted but when he saved Optimus's life they welcomed him all except Rattrap who never trusted him.
Dinobt was a warrior with the Maximals and respected Optimus Primal. But when Optimus was in danger or out of the scene he tried to take over. This continued all the way to series two and the golden disc story. A second golden disc was found on earth which Dinobot stole he discovered that they could tell the future. Dinobot was slippery and did go back briefly to the Predicons. He was always in it for himself. and his own power.
Dinobot gave one of the golden discs to the Maximals Rinox and the other to Megatron. Rattrap stumbled come across Megatron and Dinobot during the exchange. He was caught and Megatron challenged Dinobot to kill Rattrap as a sign of loyalty. He could not do it.
He confessed all to Optimus Primal and was sorry he had given the disc to Megatron. The maximals did not really trust him from then even though he became a loyal Maximal.
In "Code of Hero" episode. Megatron worked out what the disc did. He saw an image if a mountain. he got Rampage to blow it up and the image changed. The Predacons went to Rift Valley as he wanted to kill all the early humans. The humans were helping the Autobots and he did not want this to continue so he wanted to stop it in the past so they would win and it would help the Predecons and Decepticons. Dinobot saw what was going on and called for help but he knew they would not arrive in time so he went on his own to defend the humans. He won even though he was badly damaged. He saved the early humans. Dinobot was very badly damaged and was going to go into  status lock but over rid it to keep on fighting even though he had no weapons at all. He defeated Megatron with a stone and a stick knocking him down and used his remaining energy to destroy the disc. Megatron ran away as the other Maximals arrived. Dino bot died. He was a hero.

MOTTO; Honor does not need to be won; but it must never be lost.”

FUNCTION; Frontline combat

ALTERNATE MODE; velociraptor

BIO; As if torn from from the pages of Earth's prehistoric past, a vicious velociraptor breaths again! But Dinobot is no ordinary 'raptor, he's a robot in disguise battling beside his heroic team- mates, the Maximals! Armed with a spinning cyber-slash tail weapon and always hungry for battle, Optimus Primal considers him a natural combat expert who has clawed his way to the top one victory after another!

SATS; Strength 8, Intelligence 8, Speed 7, Endurance 5, Rank 5, Courage 10, Firepower 6, Skill 9

Beast mode side

Beast mode front

Robot mode

Robot mode with mutant head

His beast mode is good apart from the most obvious flaw that the chest and underbelly is the robot legs folded up. The front view of the beast barely hides the robot head.
His legs on his underbelly are amber plastic which does not look good.
His tail can just spin as it is hard to get it lined up when transforming him.
His mouth opens and he has good articulation for an early beast wars figure.
He has some nice detail on the skin and eyes.
A flap can pop up on his neck which is annoying.
His beast mode is OK but he is an older figure so for the time when he came out he is OK and looks good on display.

His robot mode compared to the cartoon is not great. It does not look like dinobot.
His face is odd without a mouth and he has yellow eyes. But I suppose this was made before the cartoon.
The mutant head was never used in the cartoon but I don't see the point. I think it is supposed to look like a dinosaur skull?
I fold the arms back so I can put the mutant head back out of site otherwise it looks odd on display hanging down
His hands are unfortunately upside down. A wrist joint would have fixed this  but it would then have made it look weird. I think you have to put up with this.

He has his drill sword made from the tail. You can keep it in the tail. This showed up in the cartoon once. You press the button and it spins. It is bent to match curve of the tail. In the cartoon it is straight,
The amber legs still look odd.

He does not have the signature claws or feathers but this was before they discovered they had feathers!

Overall is is not a great figure but you have to have Dinobot just to say you have him. Try to pick him up cheap. I got him for £17.00. I think £15.00 would have been better

The articulation is alright but the shoulder joints are tight and tricky to move.

Others include. Fox kids repaint later on in the toy line. This was weird and red. He also had a tenth anniversary re paint which was a bit more cartoon accurate. In remoulding there was a Grimlock figure a year after the original. Tekara made him into another dinosaur called Hardhead. Hasbro also released him as Dinotron instead of Hardhead

They also brought out a classics version in the Universe 2.0 line which looks pretty good. It seems to have similar problems to this figure.

I recommend him and I like him faults and all.

ANIMATED SKYWARP

This figure is from 2009. He is a Decepticon and is one of the Starscream clones. He and the other clones came about when Starscream wanted to overthrow Megatron and kill him. He had made clones before but he made these from the The All Spark fragments embedded in his head. He built them as clones then he brought them to life. They all have different aspects of his personality. Thundercracker is an egomaniac, Sunstorm is a sucker (He sucks up to people) Ramjet is a liar and Slipstream is a girl( Not sure what this means about Starscream. Skywarp on the other hand is a coward.
Sky warp will not fight but is usually found huddled in a corner somewhere. He did end up being caught in a large bit of concrete along with Thundercracker and Blur. They crashed on Saturn when they went through the space bridge in the concrete.

MOTTO: "There heading right for us!, Run!"

ALTERNATE MODE: Futuristic harrier fighter jet

FUNCTION; Coward

BIO' SKYWARP wouldn't call himself a coward. He'd call himself smart. So what if he runs away from combat? Fighting is dangerous! All those missiles and lasers could really hurt someone! As a clone of STARSCREAM, he's got all the power in and skill of the leader of the DECEPTICON air forces, but none of the courage or ambition. He could easily be one of the most dangerous DECEPTICONS of all time, but since he screams and runs away the second a shot is fired, he's mostly just a joke.

Galactic Powers and Abilities:
- Gets shot in the back more than any other DECEPTICON
- Uses his teleportation ability to run away faster
- Even just seeing a picture of MEGATRON gives him nightmares

Normal Jet mode front

Jet mode front with missiles

Jet mode side with missiles

Robot with panels showing on his arms

Robot mode

His jet mode has a very nice look to it. The wings are the wrong way for a futuristic space age look. I don't think it would get off the ground in real life. In the cockpit he has a little pilot seat. Unfortunately he does have a whole load of undercarriage kibble which you can see from all angles. From head on he looks OK though. He had flip down landing gear. His missile launchers can be cannons or folded away. He has spring launchers and they have a sharks face moulded on them for a nice touch.
The colours really suit him and he is the best looking seeker in his group. The black and the metallic purples really work in this mode.
He has wing flaps moulded and nice panel lines. You can see his hands from the back and his robot feet are his afterburners.
He has his insignias on both wings in gold.

The transformation is typical of all the early animated figures. They are all automoroph mad with these figures.
When you fold his shoulders down his head pops up. When his legs are folded down his nose cone retracts. There are springs in his wings.
The Auto morph get in the way in this mode unless you know what you are doing. It can be a pain to transform but I have had plenty of practise.
His robot mode is crazy for articulation. His legs are full of ratchet joints and you can get some good poses. His fingers are also individually articulated. His fingers however can drop off as with the legs. They all pop on again.
I have had his nose cone section come off which took my mother an hour to sort out.

His face on the prototype is supposed to have a scared face but unfortunately this did not happen with the final product when makes him look superior rather than a coward.
He has nice orange light piping on eyes and mouth.
You can flip his arm cannons back to store them or forward which makes panels come out as well. Not sure what these are for?

He is a really figure and I highly recommend him. I think he actually better than the Animated Starscream

BEAST MACHINES SCAVENGER

This figure is from 2000. He is a Vehicon. He did not appear in the cartoon. I think he might have appeared in a comic. It might have been a Botcom comic.

FUNCTION; Demolition Drone

MOTTO; "The road to ruin is short when I'm driving"

BIO; Perhaps Megatrons most horrific invention ever is his programmable drones which unquestionably serve his very wish. Falling under Tankor's charge of specialised tank drones, Scavengers application is focused on one thing: brute force. Heavy armour makes Scavenger Practically unstoppable. Galva conductors on his back channel deadly electric currents. Enjoys nothing more than getting out and wrecking something."

SATS; Strength 8, Intelligence 2, Speed 4, Endurance 6, Rank 4, Courage 9, Firepower 7, Skill 5

Robot mode

Tank mode front

Tank mode side

I am not entirely sure what his vehicle mode is supposed to be. It is described on his bio as a destruction drone but not sure what that is. It is tank like with tracks at the front but he also has this grabbing arm like a snake head. He has a Gatling gun and set of tree rockets which are posable and can be moved up and down.
If you pull on a lever on the back of the arm a mouth opens and closes with a snapping action.
The lower jaw is also articulated so he can have it open if you want to.
He has chrome claws on the back of the vehicle which are his hands but it adds to him. be careful that you do not drag them along the ground when you roll him and scrap off the chrome.
He has wheels on the back which have Vehicon insignias.
His grabbing arm has alot of motion due to a ball joint. His also has a piston in translucent plastic which could get damaged.
As far as I can tell this is a totally different character to Beast wars character which is an ant.
I always thought that this would look good as a Quickstrike figure as he already has a snake head on his grabbing arm but they used a Maximal which was a wolf which did not make sense. I do not have him and he does not look that good.

His robot  mode is mean looking which is a nice touch. He is a hunch back with monster claws.
His head is strange with no features except his eyes.
The Gatling gun and rockets are now on the sides of his chest.
His articulation is fairly good.
He has piston moulding detail which is nice
His spark crystal is behind a grate on the side of the vehicle which slides down in a hinge. This is green.
I like the green and orange colour scheme. His green could be an omage to G1 Scavenger but this is a darker shade.
He had orange hazard stripes on the side of his tracks.
I wish that he had appeared in the Beast Machines cartoon. Light attack drones would have been cool.

Overall I think he is a good figure and one to have.

REVENGE OF THE FALLEN SCALPEL

This figure is from 2009. He is a Decepticon. He had two appearances in the movies Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon.  In Revenge of the Fallen you first saw him at the bottom of the ocean as Ravage ejected him from his chest. Scalpel ordered a Decepticon to be killed so the parts could be used to rebuild Megatron. He rammed the All Spark shard into Megatrons chest to resurrect him. Later on in the movie he extracted the information from Sam Witwicky's brain.
Scalpel talks in a squeaky voice with a German accent for some reason. He is also known as the Doctor.
In Dark of the Moon he had a minor part along with many others like him as they repaired Megatron.

BIO; Scalpel has a massive database of anatomical data for millions of creatures across the universe. he can unassemble anything that dose not struggle to much in a matter of minutes, and usually puts it back together with only a few parts in the wrong place.
he serves as medic to the Decepticon army, but most Decepticons prefer to suffer in silence rather than allow Scalpel to work on them.

SATS; Strength 2, Intelligence 10, Speed 6, Endurance 2, Rank 8, Courage 4, Fire blast 4, Skill 8

                                                               Bug Mode front

Microscope front

Microscope side

This what happens if you try to pose him. His legs come off!

His microscope mode is not bad but this is a dissection microscope apparently. In the movie he was a totally different microscope so this is totally inaccurate.
He has good motion in the arms and the neck which clicks up and down.
On the lens is a Decepticon insignia so you will not be able to see much through it. Bad planning.
He also has moulded dials and bits which is a nice touch.
This mode is this figures saving grace if it were not the wrong type of microscope.

His legs will pop off during transformation so you might as well take them off and then re attach them later.

His robot mode even though it looks like some kind of bug? It might be an alien bug!

The two halves of his body do not stay together and if you do get them to stay then then spring apart off the ball joints.

His arms are ridiculous and are made from translucent plastic so very fragile. I wander how long they will last.

He has no fingers so how is supposed to do surgery with no fingers. He cannot hold anything.

The legs are terrible, Just terrible. They are completely loose and pop off at the slightest touch. You have no hope to get him to stand or if you do they give way and drop off as in picture above.

There are some cracks on the joints on his legs due to quality control and why his legs are loose.

The antennae can drop off too and could be a choking hazard for little ones. They are made out of soft rubbery translucent plastic. They bend and are fragile.

He does come with the little spectacles which you can remove. I think removing them is unofficial. His eyes are freaky as his eye lashes are moulded on to the glasses. Be careful about his eyes coming out as well.

The colour is completely different to the movie which was silver compared to this yucky cream colour.

I do like the purple detail on his chest though.

It is an awful toy. I would not recommend it unless you want to complete your collection. I would buy it cheaply as it is not worth the full retail price . Not for younger collectors at they will get frustrated as you cannot play with him.
