BEASTWARS - SKYSHADOW

This figure is from 1997. He is a Fuzor Predacon. He is half Lizard and half Dragon Fly. He appeared in The Movie Comic Beastwars "The Gathering part nine. He did appear in other comics Such as "Shadow in the Sky"The picture below is from my personal collection of comics.

FUNCTION; Camouflage Expert

MOTTO; ?

TECHSPEC:
An intelligent, brilliantly colored robot, Sky Shadow is one of the most charismatic and popular of the Predacons. A good statesman and leader, he acts as one of Megatron's most trusted counselors. In actuality however, he despises everyone and wants nothing more than to rule the Predacons with his own, "more imaginative techniques." He is an expert in concealment and surprise-assault tactics; with reptillioan patience he can lie for days in wait and then suddenly attack with a powerful turbo missile or convert to robot form and overwhelm unexpecting Maximals with his devastating saw-edged pincher. Powerful wings allow him to hover over targets, giving him a distinct advantage with targeting accuracy & in rconnaissance missions.

Sky Shadow in robot mode

His wings are made from the usual translucent plastic. He fires a missile from his mouth in robot mode which is unusual which is his tail in beast mode. His wings become pincers for robot mode. You can open and close these with a switch. Easy to transform. Nice figure.

BEASTWARS - QUICKSTRIKE

This figure is from 1998. He is a fuzor predacon. he first appeared in the Beastwars cartoon episode 28 " Coming of the fuzors" part one. He was half Cobra and half Scorpion. He is deluxe class.

FUNCTION; Desert Combat Expert

Motto ?

TECH SPEC;
There are few robots as downright mean as Quick strike. Even his fellow Predacons steer clear of his terrible disposition when possible. His deadly cobra-headed tail squirts a venom that instantly paralyzes its victims, leaving them defenseless against his razor sharp scorpion pinchers and attack claw.

Robot mode with cobra head up

You can squirt water from his cobra head. He does have a lot of translucent plastic on him which is attractive. He has giant claws for one hand which turn into his legs in beast mode. The cobra head is on a ridiculously long arm which makes it difficult to pose. In beast mode this is his tail. It has a huge amount of articulation.
He is a small figure and is fairly easy to transform.

BEASTWARS - INJECTOR 1998

He did not appear in the cartoons but in the IDW Beast wars comic. As far as I can tell he did not do much but attacked some Maximals and looked menacing. He attacked his look a like Raatoraata from the Beast wars series. Who was one of the harvengers of Unicron. Raatoraata was eventually brought down.
he also has another name as in the old Beast wars commercial he was called Angle sting. I think it is a better name than Injector.

FUNCTION; Air Commander

MOTTO ?

TECH SPEC;
He's got a face only a Predacon could love, but according to Injector, the vainest of the Predacons, he is the best thing to happen since Energon. Fused into two beasts -half lion fish, half hornet he is as dangerous as it gets. He is armed with a massive stinger and thrusting spines that inject his victims with a paralyzing poison; in robot mode he wields a devastating stinger missile. Charismatic, clever, and evil to the core, Injector represents one of the Maximals greatest threats.

Robot Mode

There are people who hate this figure but I like it. I do admit thought that the beast mode is pretty laughable,  a hornet combined with lion fish. They would of course never meet in nature but they have been smashed together.
Unfortunately his robot legs have no where to go so they are folded along the back but I work them into other bug legs. A fish tail would have been better.
He has two gimmicks one is a firing spring launched sting missile in his hornet tail but the sting they have rounded off so it will not  sting anything.
He has an attack gimmick where you push the side parts of the fish in and his entire head swings forward and his spines fan out.
He can actually head bang and people to take the mick out of this.
he looks like he has a Mahican with his spines.
It can make him look nearly headless.
He can impale maximals on the end of his spines which are poisonous so it is useful.
His wings are posable. You can push them back so it looks like he is perched on something.
There is a little kibble in beast mode but it looks monstrous.
there is alot of detail on head and moulded scales.
His head is translucent plastic with green eyes

He has a fairly easy transformation.

His robot mode is quite good and menacing. A nasty looking face and quite ugly. It is a predacon so it is not meant to be pretty.
He has nice details on wings.
His missile launcher can be held in his hand but it looks like two thirds of an abdomen.
This toy really does head bang especially in this mode!
He is horrifically top heavy because of the over sized fish head and he does fall over a lot so I put him into a certain pose where he is perfectly balanced. If not he will just fall over in the normal one.

People have said that he looks like "Alien "which I do agree with but not a bad thing.
His articulation is pretty good.

Apart from  the flaws I do recommend him. He is an interesting looking figure.
I think you will like him.

BEASTWARS INFERNO

This figure is from 1997. He first appeared in Beastwars the cartoon episode 18 " The Spiders Game" He is a Predacon. He is a red fire ant

FUNCTION; Infantry Commander

MOTTO ?

TECH SPEC; Although seemingly slow, this giant ant's abdomen splits into separate quadrants to reveal hyper drive ion thrusters that propel him at speeds of up to 180 mph! If he can't catch a retreating Maximal he detaches his rear leg missiles and fires them from the secret launcher hidden within his power pinching mandibles! The claw like pincers also detach so inferno can put the bite on enemies even in robot mode, when his destructive powers are at their best

SPEC;  Strength 7, Intelligence 4, Speed 8, Endurance 4, Rank 7, Courage 8, Firepower 6, Skill 5

Ant Mode

Jet Pack

Robot mode with missile launcher

Most of the figure is made of a sparkly red translucent plastic. His ant mode is all legs and is difficult to pose. His pincers are spring loaded. He has flame thrower that can also fit into his pincers. He is fairly easy to transform with lots of patience with his legs. Two of his ant legs fold up against his back which looks awkward. His abdomen does not peg into anything just hangs loose. His hands from robot mode also stick out of his ant mode.
I have also discovered that he has a lever on his pincers which gives the pincer movement. He also has a button on his jet pack on his abdomen which spin the abdomen round.

Overall he is a OK figure for a collection but ant mode can be annoying.

BEASTWARS - IGUANUS

Transmetal Iguanus did not appear in any cartoons or comics in his transmetal form. he is from 1999. he is a predicon.

FUNCTION; Demolitions and Artillery expert

MOTTO " The shortest path between two Maximal points is a heat seeking missile"

TECH SPEC; Iguanas is a master of combat calculations. Armed with long range tactical missiles capable of carrying a wide variety of warheads, his firepower rating is among the highest of the Predacons. Able to accurately calculate target position from incredible distances, he obliterates enemies from thousands of kilometers with cutthroat precision. Special titanium armor plating withstands even the most severe blasts.

SPEC; Strength 5.6, Intelligence 8.1, Speed 3.5, Endurance 6.5, Rank 4.5, Courage 7.2, Firepower 8.3, Skill 7.3

Showing hidden spark crystal

The inside of his crest is chrome. In robot mode it forms part of his costume. There is a door in his chest which reveals his spark crystal and predicon insignia. He is quite easy to transform. He fires a missile from his mouth in lizard mode. When you transform him you must make sure everything is in the right place or the missile will not fit in. His tail in robot mode makes a head dress. He holds the missile as a club. his lizard mode eyes are different. One is large and orange. The other small and green. In robot mode one of his eyes has a patch over it. Did he loose this in battle?

BEASTWARS - POWERPINCH

Powerpinch did not appear in the Beastwars cartoon but he was in the comic Beastwars "The gathering " He was ripped apart by mutant Soundwave. This figure is from 1997. He is a predicon.

FUNCTION; Infantry

TECHSPEC;
Despite his long body length and giant pincher claws he drags behind him, Powerpinch is surprisingly fast: six speedy legs power him forward over almost any obstacle. His greatest assets are the powerful pincher claws that are strong enough to sever most enemies in half. And as all Maximals know, those pincher claws are as dangerous in insect form as they are when he converts to robot mode, which is why they never underestimate the ferocity of this truly evil insect.

SPEC: Strength 8, Intelligence 4, Speed 9, Endurance 4, Rank 2, Courage 7, Firepower 4, Skills 5

He is a black and orange earwig. The black is translucent plastic. He is very easy to transform. There is a switch to make the pincers open and close. He is quite a small robot. He uses his pincers as a weapon. His legs stick out at awkward angles on his arms.

BEASTWARS - RATTRAP

This figure is from 1996. He first appeared in Beast Wars part one, episode one. he is from the Beast wars toy line.

Megatron crushes Rattrap

AFFILIATION: Maximal

FUNCTION: Spy, Infiltrator and thief

TECH SPEC:
Attitude: Rattrap is the smallest of the Maximals and the least powerful but he more than makes up for this by his ability to sneak in and out of places and gather vital information. He is not one to rush to the front lines, preferring to take his enemies from ambush. A master of sneaky, clever fighting, he is also the most independent of the team, often venturing out on his own to carry out some crazy plan.
Rattrap is a wise guy in every sense of the word. He likes to crack jokes ("so these two Predacons go into a bar") and tease others, especially DinoBot. Think of him as kind of a Bud Abbot.
Rattrap is most at home in dark, grungy places and his eating habits could gag a maggot. He can see in the dark quite well and has very sharp hearing.
Rattrap is also very smart in a street-wise sense. He has been around, seen a lot and knows what he is doing. Optimus generally considers him second in command, Rattrap has a natural aversion to authority and wants no such title. He would actually make quite a good leader and sometimes he may very well usurp that role from Optimus especially if his hide is at stake.
Rattrap prefers to work alone and be alone. The single exception to this is Rhinox, who is Costello to Rattrap's Abbot. Rattrap loves the big guy for some reason and he is the only one of the Maximals Rattrap would risk his life for.
Make no mistake, Rattrap is a hero and how much of one may very well play a part in the mystery of Beast Wars.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Optimus thinks Rattrap is a huge pain in the butt sometimes but he is invaluable in the struggle against Predacons. They are more allies than friends.
DinoBot hates the rat! He would love to chew his head off and roll it around on his tongue. Rattrap feels the same way about DinoBot. He doesn't trust him at all and thinks Optimus made a big mistake teaming up with him. His favorite sport is sending DinoBot into a blind rage with his sharp tongue (usually counting on Rhinox to get in the way).
Cheetor is kind of like a little brother to him, at least when he wants to con him into something. The kid never gets his jokes and his singing makes him nervous. Besides he is a cat!
Rhinox is his best pal. This does not mean Rattrap won't drop him in a pit if there is some profit or cheese in it but at least he'll try and get him out later.

SPEC: Intelligence 7, Endurance 5, Speed 8, Skill 7, Strength 6, Courage 8, Rank 5, Firepower 6

Rat mode - Large Jungle Rat

                                                                          Robot mode

He is a small figure but he was in the TV series. He is after all a rat! He has a good transformation. You pull his tail up and he springs into robot mode.

He has two parts of gun which clip together. This fits well into his hand.

He has a good mould as the robot and rat is textured like fur and his paws have detail of toes.

His tail is rather annoying though as it sticks out the back and does not do anything.
