REVENGE OF THE FALLEN SCALPEL

This figure is from 2009. He is a Decepticon. He had two appearances in the movies Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon.  In Revenge of the Fallen you first saw him at the bottom of the ocean as Ravage ejected him from his chest. Scalpel ordered a Decepticon to be killed so the parts could be used to rebuild Megatron. He rammed the All Spark shard into Megatrons chest to resurrect him. Later on in the movie he extracted the information from Sam Witwicky's brain.
Scalpel talks in a squeaky voice with a German accent for some reason. He is also known as the Doctor.
In Dark of the Moon he had a minor part along with many others like him as they repaired Megatron.

BIO; Scalpel has a massive database of anatomical data for millions of creatures across the universe. he can unassemble anything that dose not struggle to much in a matter of minutes, and usually puts it back together with only a few parts in the wrong place.
he serves as medic to the Decepticon army, but most Decepticons prefer to suffer in silence rather than allow Scalpel to work on them.

Microscope front

Microscope side

This what happens if you try to pose him. His legs come off!

His microscope mode is not bad but this is a dissection microscope apparently. In the movie he was a totally different microscope so this is totally inaccurate.
He has good motion in the arms and the neck which clicks up and down.
On the lens is a Decepticon insignia so you will not be able to see much through it. Bad planning.
He also has moulded dials and bits which is a nice touch.
This mode is this figures saving grace if it were not the wrong type of microscope.

His legs will pop off during transformation so you might as well take them off and then re attach them later.

His robot mode even though it looks like some kind of bug? It might be an alien bug!

The two halves of his body do not stay together and if you do get them to stay then then spring apart off the ball joints.

His arms are ridiculous and are made from translucent plastic so very fragile. I wander how long they will last.

He has no fingers so how is supposed to do surgery with no fingers. He cannot hold anything.

The legs are terrible, Just terrible. They are completely loose and pop off at the slightest touch. You have no hope to get him to stand or if you do they give way and drop off as in picture above.

There are some cracks on the joints on his legs due to quality control and why his legs are loose.

The antennae can drop off too and could be a choking hazard for little ones. They are made out of soft rubbery translucent plastic. They bend and are fragile.

He does come with the little spectacles which you can remove. I think removing them is unofficial. His eyes are freaky as his eye lashes are moulded on to the glasses. Be careful about his eyes coming out as well.

The colour is completely different to the movie which was silver compared to this yucky cream colour.

I do like the purple detail on his chest though.

It is an awful toy. I would not recommend it unless you want to complete your collection. I would buy it cheaply as it is not worth the full retail price . Not for younger collectors at they will get frustrated as you cannot play with him.
